The Yamaha PX8 is driven by a newly-developed Class-D PA amplifier that delivers maximum output power with optimized digital processing. It's one of the new team members of Yamaha's legendary power amplifiers that began their deserved reputation in 1976. The PX8 concentrates all the necessary operating functions into a single custom LSI chip that provides higher output and improved performance in a light and dependable design. It provides reliable protection and excellent sound quality suitable for any sound reinforcement application.
Important features include:
- Newly developed Class-D amplifier engine with a custom LSI
- Flexible user setup
- Onboard PEQ, crossover, filters, delay, and limiter functions
- Yamaha Speaker presets
- Utilities for safe and secure operation
- Smart configuration wizard
- Legendary build and sound quality

Both basic and advanced setup modes are offered in this PA amplifier. The Basic mode allows inexperienced users to easily configure a system, while Advanced mode offers more precise control over every aspect of your sound settings. Eight programmable presets provide instant recall and reduce setup time, and can also be saved to a USB thumb drive and applied to other PX amplifiers. The Config Wizard is a very useful feature that optimizes speaker settings to match your system configuration. Just select the appropriate filter and crossover for each speaker, and Config Wizard will do the rest. Config Wizard presets are tuned for each model in Yamaha's speakers, including the CBR, Club, Installation, and VXS/VXC series. There is also an advanced mode that allows more detailed configuration of parameters for input routing, input sensitivity, amp gain, and speaker impedance. The output section of the PX8 has both XLR and TRS inputs, and binding post, SpeakON and phone outputs. This provides you with the flexibility needed for a variety of environments, and the durability to stand up to extended road use, thanks to the sturdy chassis and carrying handle design. The Yamaha PX8 power amplifier delivers performance, versatility, reliability and affordability that makes it a "must have" in your pro audio setup.
